Well, I did not finish NaBloPoMo, and, honestly, I'm a bit surprised I posted as much as I did.
I got a case of Flu a few days after my last post. It wasn't a horribly bad case, but it wasn't mild either. It took a good week to get most of the symptoms down, and I still have a bit of a cough. As a matter of fact, I think I'm going to make an appointment with my doctor this week because I'm worried I may have something bronchial going on.
I had my Flu shot this year, as well as my bivalent Covid booster. So I guess I got a new strain going around. Thomas had it first -- brought it home from work for me lol. This is the first Flu I've had in decades and the first time I've had more than a sinus infection or allergy/head cold since Covid hit. I was not pleased to be down for a week and a half.
So, 2022 is past. A few significant things happened in 2022, but I'm not going to write about all of them at this time. Thomas and I, my mom, my sisters, are all well and going strong. Eler Beth and her husband are doing well. Eler Beth's health is a lot better than even a year ago. Andrew is now doing well, but he suffered a loss earlier in the year, and for a while he was devastated. I won't write about that, at least not right now. It isn't really my story to tell. But he is doing great now.
Mom turned 99. My eldest sister will be 75 this month. She recently had a case of RSV, which is very dangerous for her. She has congenital heart failure. We think she picked it up at PT for an injury to her shoulder. She is finally doing much better, though. Thomas and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary.
I can't promise to post regularly or at all here this year. We shall see.
Nice to see you back and glad that things are going mostly well. The flu, ugh. I was hoping my shot would completely protect me. I have a cold right now but will Covid test tomorrow. Life in the pandemic world.
